I've been holed up under my proverbial rock again. Probably it's time for me to just accept that "under a rock" is my official residence, and I'm trying to resist the urge to apologize for that. It's just where I'm at & what I need a lot of the time. And I need to stop apologizing for what I need, you know? That said, I know I owe a lot of folks messages & replies of one sort or another, and I *am* sorry about that! I'm not doing a great job of peopling these days, & I hope y'all can forgive me for that & be patient. ❤️

Regardless, I've been busy under my rock. Lotsa drawing & writing & making comics, and Cool Things are In The Works! One of those things is a poetry comic I've been working on. And as I was finishing up the final panel, I just sorta felt there needed to be a cat in there somewhere. Because everything is better with cats, right? Rather than sketch a bunch of different thumbnails, I just piled cats everywhere I could think of in one sketch - and this is that.

Drawing it brought to mind memories of how my mom used to always add cats to everything too, even her professional work, and so this sketch morphed into a bit of art journaling. Here's what I wrote in the sketch above, in case you can't read my handwriting:
