#CoreKeeper entry no. 9. Its been... a while. I've been busy being sick, organising a birthday party, and looking into how to manage the behind-the-scenes stuff better.

Last time I had ventured off into the Clay biome, and that's where we pick up today.

I have a little bit of time before the rest of the family waits up (except for Child.0 who I had a long conversation about my love for automation in games and how to advance in Core Keeper).

Sadly, there are not a lot of automation options in Core Keeper beyond wood and monster farming, which is a bummer but predictable with a limited resource game like that.

Probably why I like Satisifactory so much and wish I could play it again.

If I do ever write that type of game, it would probably be a mix of Satisfactory and Forager (I love me top-down games).

#CoreKeeper entry no. 8: Since last time I researched the growth habits of mushrooms in Core Keeper. Giant Mushrooms are only spawned upon world generation. They can't grow in your Fungal Soil bed. So to anyone who started furiously farming mushrooms because of my remarks, I apologise. (Just double-checked this.)

I'm going to stop everything else, and give an update on #CoreKeeper later today (or early tomorrow, depending on timezone).

Today the #CoreKeeper shenanigans continue in entry no. 7.

It's finally time to show you the boss I had alluded to before. If un-aggroed that guy just jumps up and down in place.

#CoreKeeper Entry 6: In the following session I discovered I giant mushroom. These thingies increase my health upon first consumption. They also enable me to cook special food, as do some other special ingredients we'll encounter in the future.

Also, my Tweetdeck is borked so this is fediverse-exclusive for now.

@ljs I had some good experience self rolling Windows machines inside GCP and connecting using Parsec from my Linux (definitely not gaming) laptop. Was prepping to do a bit of #CoreKeeper with @ndrei and it was working fine. Once all the install scripts are ironed out :P

This is Ofrsk, an explorer stranded in the underground world of Norgard. He's good at running. I set world difficulty to hard, character to standard because permanently losing a character is not according to my current state of mind. #CoreKeeper

Been playing Core Keeper a lot lately. I am really enjoying it. But it is really suffering from early access-itus. I am playing on a gaming laptop that is only a few years old, but the game slows to a crawl. There have been a few times where the game just froze. The game itself is great, and I hope they are working on performance and bugs at this point rather than new features. #CoreKeeper #earlyaccess
