One of the benefits of moving away from an urban jungle like Manhattan is getting to frequently experience wildlife and grass.

@numen@weirder.earth @darius's fork Hometown has local-only and I think they have a guild somewhere to merge that feature. @noellabo just merged a group profile tag feature into mastodon so I they could probably answer your third question. For themes there is @debugninja@banana.dog's fork called #Corgidon (https://github.com/msdos621/corgidon) that supports a TON of themes so they would probably be a good person to ask about that.
