As noted by the reporter : "An estimated 370 New Yorkers die prematurely each summer due to hot weather .... Among those who died from heat stress, their place of death was most often an un-air-conditioned home ...."

Yet, the largest public housing authority in the Nation was essentially engaged in extortion against 16,000 vulnerable senior citizens, who had received air conditioner units at the beginning of the pandemic. And if the residents didn't give back the A/C unit or agree to begin paying electricity charges, the residents would face possible eviction.
