@Sirsquid @gamingonlinux Another aspect of the #fediverse I've been following is the #overhead - time, cost - of operating an instance: it can be a killer.
Keeping costs down is good for the fediverse, so it is less inclined to need #CorporateMoney.
The more we demand of the #fediverse to behave the way we'd become accustomed based on our experiences on #CentralizedSystems (like the birdsite), the higher the cost, which is an existential threat.

Didn't take long for #CorporateMoney to come knocking...but, this ain't that.
@deltatux The total burden of technical challenges, legal challenges, cost, time, energy, will weigh on server owners/administrators.
#CorporateMoney - whether by owning instances, or acquiring instances of others - will offer #stability.
Will there be enough instances across the #fediverse to maintain the advantages of #decentralization? Or, is it just a matter of time before #capitalism
consumes this landscape too?
