Is there anything wrong with that? #COSO is already doing it? Other instances have better moderation than others.

It is part of their business model. They might incorporate it into their own #app and provide features to their users that only they will have. But they would be stupid to isolate their community from the rest of the #fediverse and not participate in #relays and allow other instances to #federate with them.

But they might allow writers to monetize their articles and content or restrict some content to only remain local.

So, I found this article, dated January 3, 2023.

I've heard of most of them and checked the others out that I found interesting (not that I am looking for another #instance or #community, just interested)

#countersocial #coso looked interesting, but it is just too much for me. The #privacy features and everything are nice to have, but it appears no relays are set up, and I can't reach any profiles from other instances. It also breaks most apps such as #megalodon, so you have to use their app.

It is almost as if you are getting all these nice features without all the modern #socialmedia stuff, but you are so isolated.

It is also very noisy, giving me almost an information overload with all of the news and everything.

I don't know, I just find #techhub relaxing. I can browse and chat before bed, #coso was almost like going to the random page of 4chan, by the sheer amount of information overload.

Looking for iOS app recommendations. I prefer the #CoSo app so far for one reason: in notifications it shows if you follow the person or not and can easily follow someone new. I miss that here.

I’ve tried the official #Mastodon app and MetaText, neither show me follow status.
