When energy costs soared, businesses up and down the supply chain passed the cost on - and more - inflating the price of essentials. The poor are now told that they are contributing to inflation if they demand wage increases that enable them simply to live. We need to be clear - wage increases ARE NOT CAUSING INFLATION.
