When #Musk had just bought #Twitter, the only sites I heard mentioned were #CounterSocial, #Mastodon, and #Tribel, and that was on English Twitter.
On Swedish Twitter I haven't heard any other site mentioned besides Mastodon, and that is also where ppl appear to have gone to.

After scooting around Mastodon for a couple of weeks, I now, FINALLY, understand CounterSocial. I'd tried using it on and off for a couple of years, and could never get the hang of it. But know I see it: basically it's the same interface as here, with more columns (as with the "advanced web interface" found in preferences here).

So, can it be part of my Federated timeline? seems to use the same type of software, so maybe?

I also worry that they're overselling the impact of 'blocking' entire nations; as if dedicated trollfarms haven't heard of VPN?!

And so, I uninstalled #CoSo #CounterSocial and deleted my account from them.

It didn't feel welcoming. It didn't feel open. I felt like I was lost in a tight-knit community that could slit my throat if they feel like it, ngl 😅

So I also created an account on #CoSo #CounterSocial but I only saw like the same 3 people in my timeline.

Will probably come back to it some other time, but Mastodon will be my main socmed after The Great #TwitterMigration lmao
