Intrigued by cow genetics - how did this red cow have a black calf and a pale toffee calf? If, indeed, they are both hers. I definitely didn’t get close enough to check the ears tags!

For all those concerned about the lack of cows on Mastodon (possibly just @walkingmoonraker ) here’s my contribution. Taken during the First Great Lockdown, when I was walking closer to home, and encountered many more of them than I usually do. Or indeed, than I would prefer to.
There’s a fence between us, btw.
