This week I've mainly been reading (no.26)

Sam Selvon's The Lonely Londoners (1956/2021) is a time capsule about the plight & responses of immigrants navigating their way round prejudice & in 1950's London. Written in an accessible but evocative this exploration of the immigrant experience is both entertaining & shocking. It offers an immersive appreciation of what London looked like to a growing ethnic minority.
