God Speaking Plainly
(Jn 16:25) states when the Lord spoke, it was in a covered or hidden language. Jesus told His disciples He will now begin to speak to them plainly.
While the Apostles received the plain words and deeper meanings of the riddles He taught, the crowds continued to be directed in parables or mysteries.
If there are two ways of receiving God's wisdom, is the Lord speaking to you plainly or in a parable? He desires to reveal Himself to those who really love Him and keep His commandments but, how can we do that correctly if we're still reading scripture with a literal/historical mindset? To open these mysteries up, we need an apostle who God speaks to plainly.
