Oh Thunderstorm just started in #Crumpsall #Manchester.

All the candidates for local elections announced near me. In my ward their are five candidates. I'll not be voting for the big three parties which leave Greens and Womens Equalities Party.

Can anybody tell me if Alison Hawdale (Green) or Samantha Days (WEP) standing in #Crumpsall Ward of #Manchester are TERFs, or what do they usually stand for? It's important to me to not accidentally vote for a bigot.

On Footage detectives just now, they showed a newly discovered reel of CWS Biscuit factory. It wasn't Crumpsall but #Crumpsall got a mention. The packaging said Cardiff, Crumpsall, and Harlow. And the side of one of the vans mentioned the famous Crumpsall Cream Crackers.

It's on Channel 82 now. An old safety film on the chopper bike is due to be shown too.

If in #Crumpsall avoid Greenhill Road at peak times including during the school-run. They are not in sync with the other lights only 50 yards away causing long jams, and blocking access to Greenstead Avenue and Balliol Street when turning right from Greenhill Road. Manchester Council Highways Department have really f*ck*d up on this one. #LocalNews

New Traffic warning for #Crumpsall . New Traffic Lights now in operation at Junction of Crescent Road and Greenhill Road as of today. I assume (not been round that way yet) that new Lights at 4 way Junction of Crumpsall Lane/Ash Tree Road/Delaunays Road (For Hospital) and Lansdowne Road have also been turned on but would assume they have been.

If in #Crumpsall, Cleveland Road is blocked near the church/hall. Also people working on new traffic lights at Crescent Road/Greenhill Road and Crumpsall Lane/Ash Tree Road/Landsdown Road/Delaunays Road. Please take care and take alternative routes if able. #DriveSafely

Next to #Crumpsall in north #Manchester is #Broughton in the neighbouring city of #Salford. Amongst its famous names are Elaine Bookbinder, who some may know better as the singer #ElkieBrooks, #EdgarLustgarten a broadcaster and writer. Amongst other things, he narrated every episode of the film shorts Scotland Yard and The Scales of Justice, and #JohnCooperClarke, an infamous punk poet is from the area.

I grew up and spent much of my life in #Crumpsall, a suburb of #Manchester in the UK. Famous People who were born here include #MikeHarding (broadcaster, Folk singer, comedian, playwrite and a top 30 record ( #RochdaleCowboy)), #DonEstelle from It aint Half Hot Mum, Dad's Army, numerous films and a number one record with Whispering Grass (with Windsor Davies), and #FreddieGarrity, who appeared in numerous films but is best known with his band as Freddie & The Dreamers (also many pop hits).

Mike Harding, the #Crumpsall Born comedian, folk singer and Broadcaster (now of Settle in Yorkshire) released this song in the 1970s and even made it on to top of the pops, although the video seems to be missing.

I'm a 60 something woman, who also happens to be #trans from #Crumpsall in north #Manchester>

I mainly post on #UK #Politics and #Trans Rights but lots of things interest me.

I like many different genres of #Music, but my favourite is #Rock music.

Humour can be silly or witty, or satirical, but rarely personal (unless about myself, or somebody in the public eye who is pompous or an oaf)

Oh, and I love #nostaligia.

Notice for those in #Crumpsall. Greenhill Road between Woodlands Road and Crescent Road is temporarily closed (except for access to side streets from Woodlands Road entrance) due to road resurfacing work on Crescent Road. Three-way lights in operation even though one of those ways is blocked.
