Waldo Williams, a foremost 20C Welsh poet, joined Friends late in life. He wrote about the ‘Inner Light’ (as say) that transforms how we see things, thru experiences:
Nid ein goleuni ni ydyw; ei dderbyn yr ydym ni. A ni ynghanol ein profiadau gyda’n cyd-ddynion, daw rhyw oleuni sydd yn peri i’r profiadau hynny edrych yn wahanol.
It’s not our light, we receive it. In the midst of our experiences with our fellow humans comes a light to make those experiences look different.

I’ve been full of cold & feeling very ‘under the weather’ since coming home from our visit to the west coast (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 of Wales!), but I have a feel-good memory of the intense sunlight over the blue water of Caernarfon Bay as I stood above the beach at Nant Gwrtheyrn.

A ‘spur of the moment’ dash to see the west coast of Wales took us last night to witness this sunset near Dinas Dinlle, then now I just woke up in a hotel in Caernarfon. we’re off to Trefor & Nefyn on the Llyn peninsula…. it’s not usual, this, for me
