A thought on the #DGA, WGA, and #AI;

In a purely mercenary sense, the DGA didn’t go hard after AI because, no matter what people think, AI isn’t going to seriously endanger above the line talent — writers included, and perhaps writers specifically — with the exception of actors. It will absolutely hollow out actors and everyone below the line. The WGA is fighting for everyone in Hollywood. DGA just told IATSE and SAG-AFTRA to go to hell.

First thoughts:
1. It's huge. Lots of companies, attorneys, some regulators, very little #academia and #ngo. One can learn that data protection can be big business
2. #Covid is over. I am (almost) the only one wearing a mask, although many, many are coughing, sneezing, etc.
3. #Data Law is the new thing. #DSA, #DMA, #DA, #DGA etc. bring so much and so complex regulation #GDPR suddenly looks very simple.
