can Hydrochloric acid be a usefull disinfectant?

I'm not a chemist (obviosly, otherwise I wouldn't need to ask such question), but as I remember, it's super easy to make by oneself, in every household that got a some Salt, Water and electricity.

If it is usefull, I gonna look for some #DIY tutorials.

(but maybe it's doing something else. remember I'm not a chemist. You should also not do it as shown in the video, as it they don't let the created gas bubble back into water? to bind with it)
