@RL_Dane @mjgardner @benjaminhollon Very few things are not in flux, off the top of my head, only the #DMI table is static in terms of the data it contains on each boot. There's the rub though, has the system been rebooted? #PCI device added, removed? suddenly broken/failed? Is user in #X, #Wayland, #Console? Root, #sudo, #doas? Disks removed, partitions added? Terminal size changed? Basically storing data would mean a future bug report, valid, about wrong data reported. Even distro ID changes.

So the German weather service #DeutscherWetterDienst is now also on #mastodon (on the German government's instance) And it is their 70th birthday today, which makes them slightly less than half as old as Denmark's national weather service #DMI

#GlobalWarming doubled the risk for Copenhagen's historic 2011 cloudburst

Researchers at the University of Copenhagen, in collaboration with the Danish Meteorological Institute (#DMI), have used detailed #weather models to clearly tie increased temperatures to the historic #cloudburst over #Copenhagen in July of 2011. New methods involving counterfactual weather forecasts could link the weather event to global warming for the first time.
