Interesting article, the authors say that smoking marijuana, could increase your biological age up to 20 months (i.e you would be 20 months older than your chronological age).
As they said, since it is likely that it will be legalised, it is interesting to know the potential health implication. Of course the findings remain to be validated.
The study used DNA methylation to study biological age.

Happy to announce my new preprint!! done by a talented colleague in which I am the second author. She aimed to find #DNAmethylation marks associated with #BMI in #pregnancy. She managed to replicate many CpG sites!! . Furthermore it was a multi-ancestry study, including both European and South Asian women. Therefore this increases the generalisability of the results.
