I'm going through the actual manual to learn Deluxe Paint. Testing out EGA graphics. So far this is great fun.

Another one of my favourite programs on the Commodore Amiga was of course Deluxe Paint - I already had lots of fun with several painting and drawing programs on the Commodore 64, but Deluxe Paint III was just superior and very easy and fun to use. Kennt Ihr die eigentliche Story hinter dem Namen?

Die Grafiker von MonkeyIsland1 nutzen das legendäre #DPaint, was es nicht nur für Amigas sondern auch für PCs gab. Darin konnte man "Pinsel" definieren - wie Abziehbilder mit denen man durchs Bild ratschen konnte (hinterließen dann eine Spur). Man konnte sie auch wie nen Stempel nutzen.
Es gab da einen Stempel/Pinsel mit der noch unbenannten Hauptfigur & der hatte sinngemäß den Namen: guy.brush . Dabei blieb es dann.

Another one of my #pixelart creations on the #Commodore #Amiga, using #DPaint of course! #IronMaiden Eddy is always great to draw. This one is also 320x256 resolution, using 32 colors.

Looking back, I was sloppy on the grass bits, using a custom brush...

I won a graphics competition in the Netherlands with this picture. That was nice. I do not have the trophy anymore though :(
