@elb My first PC-compatible was an XT Turbo, but my second PC was a 386SX motherboard that my employer let me have. I had to dig through a bin of RAM chips and populate the motherboard. I think the board I had would only accommodate 1MB of RAM total. It got a used PC case, a power supply, graphics card and a meaty 40MB hard drive and built myself a system!
It was a great little computer and I ran my BBS on it for many years.
