For #InternationalWomensDay: Artist Judy Baca’s 1984 mural “Hitting the Wall” located on the 110 Freeway in #DTLA. Damn, The Militant just realized he forgot to partake in his favorite #NewYearsEve tradition - being the last Angels Flight rider of the year. Especially to wish the funicular a Happy 121st Birthday! It opened on December 31, 1901.

"One of the first indoor Mexican restaurants in #LosAngeles to co-opt the Spanish verbiage was the Belmont Cafe, situated at Fifth and Main streets in #DTLA. Nov 28, 1866: Biddy Mason finalized the purchase of her property between Broadway and Spring Streets in #DTLA.
