Focus is a bit shit but after 3 days off of #DailyWriting I'm trying to get back into it. I'm floundering a bit on how to close this up after So Much has happened in the draft, or if any ending will be adequate, but I can fit things together better during edits and rewrites so... going to plow through to the end for now so I can get started on the next stage.

365 words today in... an hour and 24 minutes of extremely unfocused #DailyWriting . I'm liking these scenes and am glad I could write, but I am Very Behind on work and am going to be feeling the consequences. Still, taking out an hour or two to actually write is way better than sitting in dread the whole time while working.

Time for new words again in today's #DailyWriting. I think I'm in the final stretch toward the ending and I'm like... terrified bro :blobcat_sip_sweaty:

Bad to mix up first draft and editing I know, but an earlier scene turned out to work much better after a couple of other things happened so I'm changing order and editing that scene to update what happened in between. #DailyWriting

Didn't keep up with #DailyWriting yesterday but had a breakthrough with the larger political plot which meant rewriting a prior scene and will be integrated during editing pass. I wrote a little more in longhand today but won't bother meeting the word count, since this scene looks like it's going to be merged with one or two others to do more heavy lifting in fewer words.

Going to try and get #DailyWriting in by 11:00 am today, earlier than yesterday by an hour!

Going to get transcription and #DailyWriting out of the way first thing, hoping that'll supercharge the work I need to catch up on today 🤞

Slightly over 100 words into #DailyWriting, was uncertain about this scene at first but it does provide some important closure so I'm warming up to it.

The psychological resistance as I approach the end of this draft is now verging on "I want to cry whenever I write and not in a good way" levels, but trying to manage it by going slowly a little at a time. It's just very hard. #DailyWriting
