Four episodes in to #Daredevil season 3 and I'm still confused about the "Where was Matt" thing.

Look it up. Apparently the Defenders series's (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, plus Defenders) aren't entirely independently bingeable.

Going to have to see how it works going back to Defenders. Hopefully that's enough. At least for Daredevil. But it'll probably mess up my plans to watch Jessica Jones and the others a bit 😕

#DisneyPlus subscription is due in a month.

Annoyingly, there's no alternatives, because one-off Amazon rentals are ridiculous, series are worse, Cinema Paradiso discs in the post start at £11 per month, and some bits are Disney only 😞

Watching the end of #Daredevil season 2 and… it's VERY noticeable the difference between comic book cops and the coverage of American cops.

Comics: Some were in the past of a crime lord, but it collapses and they're driven out. Punisher is bad. We need to arrest him.

America: Punisher! Yeah! Thin blue line! Cops before civilians! What's "excessive force"?

So I'm guessing *that* is where Elektra gets her sai daggers from (at least in the #Daredevil series)

Also, I like how Fisk has to use a plastic cup while eating steak with real cutlery and crockery (and possibly a cheese plate) in his cell. And they left the whole bottle!

To be honest, I'd rather be in the Indian restaurant rather than the posh place in S2E5 of #Daredevil as well!

The reviews of #Daredevil on IMDB are…interesting.

Very clear set of "if it involves thinking to progress the plot then it's a bad episode". Despite it being an interesting progression.

A third of the way into Season 2 of #Daredevil… are they introducing a new major character and plot line? Season 1 was all Fisk.

The priest is actually quite a reasonable person.

Philosophy and practicality. Not religion and dogmatism.

And the way he handled the funeral was great!

Karen was good in Season 1 and started to become a more developed character. But she really comes into her own as they start Season 2 of #Daredevil.

I love the way they play Murdock and the priest on religion.

Priest: "How are you holding up?"
Murdock: "Like a good Catholic boy"
Priest: "That bad?"

He's one of those practical, almost unreligious priests, and Murdock is the non-believer going through the motions because that's how he was brought up.

Huh. #Daredevil episodes start at around 50 minutes, but end up closer to 1hr by the second half of the first season.

I find it interesting that streamed shows are being less rigid about duration. Telling the story they need to tell in each episode. Don't stretch or compact to arbitrary timelines.

It's interesting how they're playing #Kingpin in #Daredevil.

And I'm loving what they're doing with the Chinese and Japanese gang leaders speaking their own language. Followed by the reveal in episode 8.

And the casting of Vincent D'Onofrio is good. Obviously not full comic book Kingpin stature. But still got the bearing, and the cold power, etc

Watching #Daredevil again. They just subtitled the pages of braille that Murdock was just reading!

Torn over evening TV viewing while @Beautifulfiction has an early night.

On the one hand, I'm 1/3 of the way in to #Daredevil on #DisneyPlus and I like my superhero stuff.

On the other hand, I just saw that Dark Crystal is on Netflix again. I'd forgotten it was there!
