So. Yesterday marked 50 years since this was released. It's still on the Billboard charts. It is still great headphone music.

I know I've bought at least a couple cassette versions of it a couple of record versions of it and finally a digital version of the album. So I'd say I've bought at five times.

How about you? Have you bought this album more than once and what kind of formats?

I have some vague memories of a mate turning his new stereo up to 11 😉 so we could listen in wonder at “If your head explodes with dark forebodings too/I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon.” 👏🏼🤯

50 years ago, Dark Side of the Moon came out.

SO many memories, from hearing it when it first came out when I was a little tiny kid and my teenager brother played it for me, to running laser light shows in the 90’s and playing Dark Side of the Moon laser light shows so often it’s embedded in my brain. :-)

March marks the 50th Anniversary of the release of #PinkFloyd's #DarkSideOfTheMoon. My LP is too scratched to play nowadays. But I still love opening the bifold cover and listening to my CD of the album and streaming it. ❤️🌑

It really is quite a remarkable thing to see – and astonishing how alien the half of the moon that always faces away from us looks 🌕

There is of course no ‘dark side of the moon’, other than at a given instant, but it’s striking that the far side of the moon has a noticeably higher albedo than the side facing the earth – if anything, we’re used to looking at the dark side! 🌑
