A couple of weeks ago #DaveEggers of McSweeneys fame gave a humorous & informative talk about his new book “THE EYES AND THE IMPOSSIBLE”, & how he was able to publish it with front & back covers made of bamboo. The front with intricate cutouts. A couple of days ago #SantaCruzShakespeare performed a funny scene from “The Book of Will”, etc. Tonight, #AndreaNguyen, Vietnamese cookbook author, w/food!

It seems the translation was done by a person who hasn't looked into language evolution for at least 20 years. The translation sounds abelistic, exclusive, and outdated—which is quite disappointing and doesn't fit with the novel at all. Has anyone of you read the book in English? Is it worth a read?
