Okay, let's try writing an #introduction. I'm a #philosopher, a #feminist, a #Dean, and a #cyclist. And I post about all those things. I'm interested in #highered and in #ethics, my primary academic research area. I also think and write about #family and the many shapes it can take. I identify as #queer. I also care about #fiction and often post about what I'm reading. I blog about feminism and fitness at http://www.fitisafeministissue.com.

I grew up in the small community of Dean, here in Nova Scotia. Most of my paternal family lived in the area. In the local church hall framed bits of history can be found, like this one for the school.
