Hooded Grave Cemetery (aka Mt Zion Cemetery) in Catawissa, PA
No, these aren't for keeping vampires in the grave. This is a mortsafe for a burial from 1852, likely used to keep body snatchers out (resurrectionists we're active here at this time). This cemetery has 2 caged graves, a 3rd was removed in the 1930s. Similar items could be bought through the Sears catalog, though these are the only remaining caged graves in the U.S.
