Why are #Aliens (or anyone who might look weird) in the #Arrowverse always given the ability to mimic the appearance of regular humans, but #Klingons and #Ferengi and others are always shown in full, complicated #makeup? I assumed it was to save money, but did #TNG and #DS9 etc really have more money to spare?

I’ve reached the point in my #StarTrek re-watch where it will be time to start #DeepSpace9. Can’t wait for some Sisko and crew goodness. Having come through five and half seasons of #TheNextGeneration I like O’Brien much more now, and can’t wait for him to meet and get to know Bashir. And Garak, and Dax, and all the rest. #WhoMournsForMorn and Morn. Gonna be fun.

Finished Season 1 of my rewatch of #DeepSpace9 . Starts off very promising, but quickly falls into some bad habits of TNG and a good half of the season is filler episodes with very thin plots, but wow, those two final episodes 'Duet' and 'In the Hands of the Prophets' are both absolutely brilliant. Duet is exactly the kind of post-occupation reckoning that the rest of the season touches on but never quite does enough with. And Prophets sets up the religious politics of Bajor so well

Rewatched #StarTrek #DeepSpace9 S02E16 or, as I call it: "The one where Kira and Vedek Bareil finally BANG!" I noticed two things:

The overall story - a bunch of people are actually holograms - was re-made in #StarTrek #Enterprise S01E20 "Oasis".

I do not like the lighting in open air shots - I guess it was hardly possible to do better without HDR tech and on TV. But the whole oversaturated and burnt out look is anything but timeless, unfortunately :-/

@bgcarlisle yeah this one was pretty wild... My current favourite is still S02E12.

And since I can never remember it, and had to look it up in my own timeline... I finally pinned the respective toot to my profile - I guess that's what this "pinning" is for? ;-)

Rewatching #StarTrek #DeepSpace9 I found my new favorite Episode: S02E12 ["Armageddon Game"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armageddon_Game).

While the overall story is poorly written, I get great #TOS vibes with the T'Lani costumes, retro stage design looking good at HD and the whole buddy film thingy between O'Brian and Basheer is quite amusing. 5/7 😄
