CND condemns the new draconian policing law which targets the historic and non-violent tactics of peace and environment campaigners. These are the laws of a police state, not a democracy!

I was due to be in court today - before charges against me were dropped. This followed my objection in to the proclamation of a new king last September. Many thanks to everyone who supported & encouraged me! Freedom to protest is under threat.

The protesters in were handed notices before Charles arrived. The 3-hour exclusion period meant the protesters could not express their viewpoint to the crowd - and the media - during Charles's visit. Unacceptable. twitter.com/NaterSkater06/stat

If the establishment approves of your protest, youโ€™re probably doing it wrong. All power to @JustStop_Oil, whoโ€™ve clearly got them proper rattled, and @netpol for so many years of dedicated work supporting dissenters.

Many thanks for all the supportive messages I've received since it was reported that the charges against me have been dropped. They vastly outnumber the abusive messages. Thanks also to people who disagree with me but have engaged constructively.

At the proclamation of King Charles in Oxford, Symon Hill was arrested under the Police, Crimes, Sentencing & Courts Act 2022 after calling out "Who elected him?โ€

3 months later, Symon was charged with a public order offence for this protest.

Join @xryouthoxford outside Oxford Magistrates Court on 31st January 2023 from 9:30am onwards to gather and support Symon while he pleads Not Guilty!

We've decorated Kings College Cambridge to draw attention to the state crackdown on dissent against the monarchy.

Last September, Cambridge Uni held a proclamation of their alumnus King Charles. Meanwhile, anti-monarchy protestors faced arrest.

Charles claims to be 'green' but supports harmful ideas like colonial conservation and overpopulation. The British monarchy have stolen land and exploited people here and around the world.

This is disgusting - rabid power being exerted to prevent dissent.

Yesterday, I was charged with breach of the Public Order Act for my objection in in September to the proclamation of Charles Windsor as king (the police waited 3 months before charging me). I will be in court on 31st January to plead Not Guilty.

Just as the Police Crime Sentencing & Courts Act was quickly followed by the Policing Bill, the expansion of police powers is relentless. Already ministers are talking about more - anything to avoid the reasons why protests are taking place independent.co.uk/news/uk/suel
