My degu boys would be 10 today, it's hard to believe it's already been 2 years without their delightful chirps and fuzzy faces.

I do not like green beans.

The #degus love green beans.

So I guess now I'm buying groceries just for them. Or maybe I'll learn to like green beans.

The #degus totaled their wooden hay rack, so I finally got them a metal one. They weren't sure about it at first, but once they realized they could sit in it and eat the hay at the same time, they approved.

#Degus actually on #DeguFriday this week.

They already got a hazelnut each, but are open to the possibility of more snacks.

To keep the #degus from chewing the cage bars, I started hanging pumice stones at the places they chew most.

This has worked great, except for the part where they can get through a whole stone in a few hours. Going to need more pumice stones.

It's hard to get pictures of #degus because they always have to check and see if the camera is food

I'm going to just start using #Degus instead of #DeguFriday because cage-cleaning day has been kinda all over the place.

Anyway, the degus are grumpy about having to use the cottage cage instead of the huge run while I'm cleaning their palace, but until we finish rearranging the house, they're just gonna have to live with it. They've even got their wheel.

Oh je, zwischen unseren Degus "Mars" und "Snickers" gab es heute heftigsten Streit. Jetzt hat Mars ein ganzes und zwei halbe Ohren... 😱 "Bounty" fand den Streit zwischen beiden auch nicht lustig und hat die ganze Zeit geschimpft.

Sind jetzt wieder getrennt.

Gibt es hier Expert:innen für Degus?

Die drei waren bis vor Weihnachten ein Herz und eine Seele. Dann wurden sie reudig und haben versucht sich gegenseitig zu besteigen. Streit wurde mit den Tagen heftiger.
