I am not much of a #theatre person. I do go to modern dance sometimes but never plays. So theatre great #DeniseGough was new to me in #StarWars #Andor. Love that TV show and her performance and her future fascist husband Kyle Soller's, so I've been watching a lot of video essays about the show and interviews with them. Listening to the fabulous Denise Gough being interviewed on the Pilot TV podcast (about her role in Andor) and she talks about appearing in a play at the Dorfman Theatre that changed her life. I saw that play and she was electrifying in it.
What I didn’t know is that before she got the gig, she was on the verge of giving up acting and becoming a teacher.
Fortunately, it was a hit. 🙏

Remarkable btw what Anton Lesser (#MajorPartagaz) and Denise Gough (#DedraMeero) have been able to do with the lines they were given. The musicality of Anton Lesser's delivery in particular is top notch craftwork. He makes the words really sing somehow. Pure magic. Any lesser actor given these lines would've made some of these scenes difficult to get through I think.
