I saw the films "Where the Crawdads Sing" and "More Than Ever" shortly one after another. It was remarkable, that regardless of context and story, the love and sex scenes are demonstrated completely differently.
"...Crawdads" builds up on Hollywood prudishness and first-time pathos, that seems so unrealistic - independent of the topic of male violence.
