Whether people notice it or not, a great deal of rigor and craft is going on behind the scenes. Great designers don’t randomly throw elements together on an artboard — there’s a method to the madness.

The impact of any kind of team is always influenced by the organisational conditions in which the team operates. You can have the best designers in the world but if the company is not able to value them and their competences properly, their impact will be limited.

This is the key reason why the business impact of design is strongly related with the design maturity of the organisation.

Trust the process of UX research.
It may not always be clear where it will lead you, but it will always lead you to valuable outcomes. Stay curious.

User research may become that undesired radically honest friend. However, as much as it will help prove if hypotheses are wrong, it will also provide insights to get them right.

So why are the products still so frustrating to use? Because “make it easier” is only a starting point, and when teams stop there, they set themselves up to fail.
