If your company is taken over by megalomaniac who decides on a whim to change the company's name and logo overnight, then it's just a matter of replacing a single SVG file and perhaps a few #DesignTokens and then letting the automated pipelines do their thing.

After spending 23 years at ad agencies I was trying to switch back to my original passion, what got me into design in the first place: #UserInterfaceDesign and #DesignSystems. It’s all one job to them: #ProductDesigner. some job listings that expected the role to write production-ready HTML/CSS.

I'm Allie (they/them), a mostly-frontend software engineer and #fiberArts enthusiast.

At my day job I currently focus on #DesignSystems, but I've built all kinds of #frontend infrastructure. I'm particularly proud of building SSR support for Etsy.com (https://www.etsy.com/codeascraft/mobius-adopting-jsx-while-prioritizing-user-experience). I care a lot about #WebPerformance and #Accessibility. While I'm always curious about new fun tech, I think it's more important to make software that's usable and useful.
