@olivermantell Love #Detectorists but didn't know Rebecca Watts - enjoyed looking up some of her poems and have just added the collection to my virtual shopping basket.

Two things I’ve enjoyed (belatedly) recently: the TV show #Detectorists and Rebecca Watts’ #poetry debut The Met Office Advises Caution (the title felt appropriate, given the cricket).

Both have a gentle alertness to being in nature and history, to the details of places and gestures:

“I believe the tree
and note it down as the answer
to its own question”.

Fuck you, Mackenzie Crook, for making me cry with your amazing acting chops. 😥

Such a great series with even more heart.

The thing about #Detectorists is that it's set mostly in a very dull field that is despite being very dull is utterly beautiful.

Finally managed to watch an episode of #Detectorists and what a lovely thing it is. I was surprised to see so many locations from my childhood. Will definetly watch more. 📺
