Okay, I don't normally buy a #ttrpg unless I'm going to play it or I know why I'm mining it, but I just bought #Dialect based on word of mouth and I have no idea what I'm getting into or who I'd play it with.

That marks a big turnaround from 2021, when our top ten included 3 #DnD books - all of which have dropped out of our top 100 this year. #TheQuietYear, #Dialect and #Spire have all entered the top ten for the first time, despite having been published for a significant amount of time (#DungeonWorld, #BladesInTheDark and #ThousandYearOldVampire have all been top sellers for us since they were first published).

@thomas I love TTRPGs with world-building in them. Some do this on the fly and others do it procedurally in setting up the game.

Games like #Fate, #CortexPrime, and others let you spend resources and make things real, including setting elements.

Games like #TheQuietYear, #Dialect, and #ForTheQueen have you build/change as you go in the rules. #Epyllion asks you to detail the world using a map and I love it.

Games like #Microscope and #I'mSorryDidYouSayStreetMagic are about world-building.
