We realise that your "50¢" example was likely a throwaway figure but in #Australia our namesake, #DickSmith, said that number was 30¢.

Ie. people here generally would not be prepared to pay a mere 30¢ more for local, (and better!) foods. We know others who have tried over the years to sell full "#SOLE" food, have also experienced great difficulties.

The race to the bottom has been interesting to watch in realtime. How low can we go?

Our namesake, #DickSmith, setup a national #prize. If someone under 30 in #Australia could put the #population problem in the national spotlight he would reward them with $1MILLION.

There was no way to apply. If Dick saw a youthful person bringing the #overpopulation issue to the fore he'd give them the prize.

To our knowledge noone ever won.

If a #billionaire doesn't pay at least 50% in tax, but #laundersIdentity through #philanthropy, they should go into a database. At random one (or 2%) of these #billionaires will have to pay 70% of their yearly #revenue in that country in tax or be #brokenUtp.

Another very interesting tidbit.

After we publish the (#)FediverseIcon and (#)FediFlyer on (#)Wikimedia Commons/(#)Wikipedia they, continually blocked us and kept shifting the goalposts until they had deleted our content completely from the site.

Funny how #Google and other corporateGiants can show their works on Wikimedia but not a "#DickSmith #FairGo Supporters" page.

Thankfully at least one good soul, who we haven't forgotten about, is hosting the flyer.
