I'm still seeing lots of people complain about Mastodon being "too difficult." And I am doing my best to pitch it to my TikTok audience. Here's the elevator pitch I presently have. If you good folks have any ideas to hone this further, let me know. The "difficulty" complaint isn't going to go away and I do think it's important to address it and be supportive. Let us prove that the open source ethos can beat out corporate tyranny!
