I am really liking Digging for Britain with @aliceroberts, but not keen on connection pieces where she is seen "striding purposefully" across the land!
But if that's my only gripe then carry on!

Got none of the things I’d planned to do done this evening because the BBC dropped the whole of the new season of #DiggingForBritain on iPlayer (instead of just episode one) and that was by bum glued to the sofa for the duration!

Fabulous #archaeology, infectiously enthusiastic #archaeologists and a series of programs very obviously made with love by all concerned…

I've enjoyed a nice evening of #history on TV this evening. First the #AntiqueRoadshow special on 100 years of the #BBC and then #DiggingForBritain. @aliceroberts is simply awesome.

Oh, I do love dendrochronology.... it's just too brilliant! Not only a year, but often a season too, going back thousands of years.

New series of Digging For Britain on tonight, BBC2, 8pm....

The time when all us archaeologists settle down and play 'Spot Your Mates' and feel insanely jealous of each and every one of them!!

Well worth watching if you want to know what archaeology in the UK is really like...

And, of course, superbly presented by Alice @aliceroberts too. 😊
