I've been wondering about diplomatic conventions as a barrier for users of screen readers. Do scholarly standards in limit access to historic texts?

One option is to use dual encoding through TEI choice elements, but it's pretty labor intensive. But what about using to normalize text?

I'm doing a few experiments, which I'll post about here.

The "Open Up " conference looks fascinating: open-up-dse.github.io/cfp.html

One of my favorite topics (data reuse in digital scholarly editions) discussed by some of my favorite scholars -- what could be better?

I am researching and am looking for more to see the full scope of the form. I been using McGill’s collection, the National Library of Scotland’s collection, and the University of York’s collection. Does anyone know of other collections?

Unfortunately not a position but the call for applications explicitly mentions non-Latin scripts.

Last summer I went to as part of a working group discussing approaches to the Utrecht Psalter, and talked about editorial archaeology, digital editions, and the DigitalMappa.org platform.

Emily Fu, another member of the group, wrote a lovely blog recounting our experiences!
