Missing good training data was a major hurdle for the development of automated rail systems. FOKUS used own recorded data and data provided by Siemens and by Deutsche Bahn Konzern (https://data.fid-move.de/dataset/osdar23).

We are adapting our vehicle perception within the project BerDiBa to bridge that gap. Furthermore, we're developing a #DigitalTwin and simulating the communication between the train and the cloud to allow predictive maintenance and better rail services in the future: https://www.fokus.fraunhofer.de/en/asct/projekte/Berdiba_project
