A lovely millipede, which I think is the Orange Rosary Millipede (Helicorthomorpha holstii), spotted at Thomson Nature Park, Singapore, on 28 March 2023.

It was fast moving, so I thought it was a centipede until I had time to see the two pair of legs per segment, and realized it was a millipede.

in other news, found bristly millipedes (Polyxenida) and snout mites (Bdellidae) on my building's garden wall and was, unfortunately, very weird about it just as neighbours were coming home

millipede on ceramic tiles, spain. when i learned that they are detritivores, i felt a bit ashamed as they are often trying to invade my kitchen — it is not THAT dirty (so please concentrate on the beauty in the middle not on the detritus to its left and right)

The final pic relating to this slime mold scene is of a bristly millipede (Polyxenus lagurus, I think), a group I had never heard of before. They have detachable rear bristles that apparently function like grappling hooks and can be deployed against ants and spiders. Details of that in linked paper if you need more.
