Unter Windows benutze ich den Dateimanager "Directory Opus". Der kann externe Speichermedien sehr einfach mounten - darunter auch FTP-Verbindungen. So können Dokumente/Scans von Windows einfach zu #paperlessngx geschoben werden.

I second this. I'm a long time #Linux user, but have occasionally had to use MS Windows at work (luckily, only for a few years total).
I purchased #DirectoryOpus with my own money because no other file manager on the MS Windows platform was as good.
Honestly, Directory Opus is probably the only proprietary software that I wish had a Linux version.
This is not a sponsored post--I am just a big fan. I used Directory Opus on the Amiga when I was a teen, it was amazing. Many years later they no longer produce an Amiga version, but they have a Windows File Explorer replacement. It's not free, but it's worth every penny in my humble opinion. I frequently use it's regex rename abilities to save me time with media.
My friend loves it for his photo management. You can trial it for free for 60 days. https://www.gpsoft.com.au/

@ahribellah I am pretty happy with the File Explorer in most cases (especially since the recent addition of tabs), but I fully agree: the performance when generating thumbnails is not great. 😬
For things like this, and for moving files around in general, I really like "Directory Opus". It is not exactly cheap, but it is insanely powerful. At least for me, it was absolutely worth the purchase. 🙂
