As a fellow person with ADHD, have you tried audiobooks? I love to listen while driving, cleaning, crafting, something to do with my hands and my brain. I find I love to sink into long stories in that format. I did the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy a couple years ago during my commute. Took several months, but it was so lovely.

Audiobooks are reading, just like using an ebook reader, a bound book, an app, or any other format is still reading.

Don’t be elitist, just✨let people enjoy things✨however works best for them.

Plus, if it’s a big book and there’s a cat on your lap, it’s tiring to hold the up all the time. Or sometimes the cat lays on the book.

One of the great things about is that so much of it can be passively incorporated in ways that are invisible to the able bodied. It can even provide advantages that an able bodied person wouldn't think to create.

While I personally haven't benefited from very much design, I *have* benefited from design aimed at lazy people that I would have never used if I were still able bodied. Turns out, good design is for everyone!

Question for folks considering issues of on Mastodon - I've heard a lot of folks talk about the importance of image descriptions, which makes sense to me.

That said --- how does one do this? Is it just a matter of adding an image description to the toot or is there some kind of special tag or function that ones uses (similar to CW's)?

Also, thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this, but also all who are posting helpful tips. I still feel like I have a lot to learn about the culture of this platform and appreciate all who are helping us newcomers.
