My friend, Lyrica, introduced me to this lake 🥰 We've been back a few times since this day. We took a small inflatable boat out & paddled to far end of lake. There was only 4 other people at lake at other end.

I like this silly “Memoji” of me in my FFFP3 mask. It’s cute and reminds me of a time when a mask was so normal, a huge corporation made it a virtual accessory option. The full range of emotions are visible on the little emoji despite the mask. On of the loveliest things about my new wheelchair: the arm rests have adjustable height, and at the lowest setting I can play my uke while sitting in it. Potentially a game-changer when I'm well enough to get to folk clubs. :D :D :D (And definitely gives the option of playing on the beach sometime!) #DisabledJoy

WHEELCHAIR ACQUIRED

I've been wheeling myself around inside our apartment for a couple hours now. This is SO NICE. I can go to the living room or the kitchen like it's (almost/comparatively) nothing. 😭 Oh my gosh... I didn't realize how helpful this would be.

I can't tell you how unbelievably excited I am that there is a show coming up that is making masks required. I miss going to shows so much!

Pre pandemic I was limited in how much I went out, but I still got to enjoy live music from time to time, now I don't get to at all. My elation is next level right now, make your events accessible for all disabled people. More of this!

Time and time again, the absolute #disabledexperience is what we build dispite the #nondisabled structures in place, including #SocialWork , NOT because of it. Too many of us know what use and support and allyship you are to us. We've read your reports and laughed and cried at them. I'm beginning to reject your fiction. I prefer #DisabledJoy , ingenuity - and sharing, at least with my fellow disabled citizens, workers and disabled community, the suffering left behind when you don't help.

It's starting to look like I may be able to afford a new wheelchair at some point in the next few months. I literally have adult friends younger than my current one, so this is Needed. Still can't really store or afford a powerchair but my goodness me, manuals have got a lot more shiny in the past 24 years. :D Some have all-terrain tyres! EXCITEMENT. #DisabledJoy
