My sister came to visit last week, first time since 2019, so that was a highlight for me. And I managed to pace myself pretty well, scheduled rest times while she was here, so only a small crash from doing too much.

First Remicade infusion in the bag, or I should say, out of the bag and in to me. Had no idea it would be so tiring. Now for CO to fix my Medicaid before my next infusion in two weeks or I'm screwed. #crohns #disabled #DisabledSocial

I'm one of the 1.1 million who got dumped off Medicaid. I turned in my paperwork three times, went in person, and called and confirmed on the phone everything was in, and I was dumped for "not doing my paperwork". This country hates disabled people. I'm getting my first infusion for Crohn's tomorrow, but I'm supposed to get my second in two weeks and I have no idea how I'm going to get it. I'm homeless and the crap just keeps piling on. #disabledhomeless #disabledsocial #disabled #homeless

I feel ya so much on this. Especially with invisible illness, we have the option to hide it (for a while).
The disabled label made me cringe a bit when I first joined the #disabledSocial instance, but instead I have found a tribe I want to celebrate.
It occurs to me I have the odd privilege of being totally wrecked and unable to work, so I don't have to do the calculus of managing my reputation and can just be visible af. 💪🧡
