my small company provides lunch on friday
today, we had a special lunch, as one person is expecting a baby
so we had not paper plates but #disposable #plastic plates that weighed 61 grams each [~ 16/Kg; ~ 2 ounce; 8 /Lb)

and of course NOT ONE person even thought tht this was bad for #environment #trash

we are so used to such absurd plastic waste no one even notices
#globalwarming #climatecrisis #biosphere #ecologie

The village where I live is following the lead of other municipalities and requiring that restaurants only provide #Disposable silverware when requested by patrons, eliminating the waste that happens when these are given automatically. This is a great starting point, but we need to go so much further -- eliminating #SingleUsePlastics entirely as a next step.
