Ist eben ein sehr blankes Android/AOSP mit diverse Sicherheitsanpassungen. Alles super soweit, verwende keine GApps. Ich vermisse aber einige Komfortfeatures von #DivestOS wie z.B. automatisch abschaltbares Bluetooth und diverse deutlich bessere, vorinstallierte Apps. Unterm Strich sind es aber auch nur Kleinigkeiten

Ein Wechsel von Google Android zu Apple iOS wäre ein Gang vom Regen in die Traufe. Apple hat sich noch nicht zu #WEI geäußert. Das Tracking ist in Apples Welt genauso umfassend, aber weil es ein geschlossenes System ist, kann man kaum etwas dagegen tun.
Weil das meiste an Android frei und quelloffen ist, konnten Enthusiast:innen googlefreie Android-Varianten bauen. Manche funktionieren hervorragend, z.B. @GrapheneOS und @calyxos. Andere unterstützen eine größere Auswahl an Hardware, aber dafür funktionieren sie nicht auf jedem Gerät gleich gut, z.B. @LineageOS, e/OS/ und #DivestOS.
Ein erster Schritt kann es sein, @mozilla #Firefox als Browser und @MetaGer als Suchmaschine zu verwenden.

Mit dem Lineage-Fork #DivestOS und @fdroidorg bin ich sehr zufrieden und die App-Entwicklung für Android :android: ist dank solcher Projekte #deGoogled machbar. 🙃

The lack of icon in the repo (why?) Can make them super sketchy looking, but most are Good, honest. And uBlock0 is there too.
I recently set up an /e/OS and f-droid phone, and did a bit of comparison using the built-in tracker counters on that OS. I settled on Mull (not Mull*vad*; the badger one) and #DivestOS's repo in #fdroid

Cons: it only works on #Google #Pixel #smartphones.
If you do NOT want to support #Google & do not want to buy #hardware from Google, you can alternatively use #DivestOS for many other #smartphones as a good mobile system (e.g. for #OnePlus devices).

However, you can install other OS which are mostly more privacy-aware/-protecting, for Google Pixel phones there's #GrapheneOS @GrapheneOS, for some older phones there's #DivestOS,... and they are #FOSS! Great, isn't it?!
