13) Most memorable #TTRPG character death.

D&D 3.0 campaign, circa 2002. I payed Lynnda Hawkwood, ranger. We were trying to stop a demon cult from re-opening a sealed gate to the Abyss. In the penultimate session, the Demonic High Priest was on a stone precipice above the gate, finishing the ritual. He was surrounded by demon guards. I charged past the demons, taking several AOOs, then Bull Rushed the priest over the edge. We both fell into the Abyss and were lost.

I believe it'd be possible to make a D&D-like game I like better, but WotC won't be the one to make it.

#Eberron is my favorite D&D setting by far! But sometimes an original setting is a better fit for a D&Dish idea. And sometimes a fantasy idea isn't particularly D&Dish, but I don't have a system I favor for that yet.

69) Wizards of the Coast had taken over ownership of D&D by this point, and they released their update to the game. 3rd edition "Dungeons & Dragons" was released in 2000, and was a brilliant advancement of the game.

We're moving on Wednesday, so we cleared out the basement today. I found a forgotten box full of #DnD goodies. Known World Gazetteers and setting boxes, Poor Wizard Almanacs, blue #ADnD2E books, #DnD3E stuff and so on. 🥳

5. At the moment, #CallOfCthulhu is the #TTRPG I play the most—it accounts for over a quarter of my hours at the table, and I currently play in two weekly campaigns, as well as frequent one-shots.

Since I began roleplaying, though, it'd be #DnD, though which edition I've played most is an open question: #BECMI, #ADnD1, #ADnD2, or #DnD3e. (I've not played nearly as much 0e, 4e, or 5e, though.) #gtkm

Ich habe vor einiger Zeit mal ein #HumbleBundle mit einem Haufen #dnd und #Pathfinder Computerspiel-Klassikern gekauft. So ca. 18 Euro, glaube ich.
Gestern dannl Icewind Dale/Hauch des Winters installiert und los gerumpelt, inklusive Charaktererstellung. Das war eine Mischung aus Nostalgischer Liebe und Augenrollen darüber wie dämlich, umständlich und nervig so vieles an den alten Editionen war. Im Vergleich zu 5e sind diese Versionen zudem deutlich schwerer für die Spieler. #dnd2e #dnd3e #adnd

Good morning all! Even though I've been playing DnD since the 80s, I cannot compete with some of the bookcases I've seen here. But I'm sharing a shot of some of my first edition and 3/3.5 books, all tucked away now that we're playing Pathfinder. For no real reason, here are my thoughts on each version of #dnd

#dnd5e Easy to learn and my favorite #ttrpg right now.

#dnd4e My first version and I think it is a lot better than what people might say.

#dnd3e Groundbreaking. It reinvented the genre.

#dnd2e My least favorite as it is really just AD&D with the 2e tag.

#dnd1e Is really several versions. AD&D is excellent and is what moved the game into the mainstream.
