I don't really know #DonDeLillo's work much (I should start reading him), so I don't know if I'm the best to comment here, but I've really enjoyed the film, even if takes some very special Event (which gave name to indie band) to really kick it off.

@JordanFischer I remember reading "White Noise" for my university course 20-something years ago and really enjoying it, then went on and read "Underworld" and "Cosmopolis", which I also really enjoyed. But then read his latest "The Silence" a couple of years ago, which I thought was absolutely terrible, and I felt so disappointed!

So, firstly, the beauty of the word imbues crypto with something mystical - like an incantation. This is often the case when a word is drenched in alliteration, assonance, onomatopoeia, etc. Being unhyphenated also massively helps. Secondly, cryptography itself is inherently mystical, in part because it’s based on zero-knowledge proof. This arguably outweighs the transparency/provenance of the blockchain. 2/4
