my idea for the mall on market street is to convert it to a true entertainment center, it already has a theater and grand atrium. I'm thinking concerts, nightclubs like the Black Cat (where London Breed was partying without a mask against her own rules), maybe a spot for literary events and poetry readings (SF's beatnik roots), put San Francisco culture in the heart of Market St

This feeling of hopelessness and that we have left it too late on the #climatecrisis has been a repeating theme I've been seeing here on #Mastodon and elsewhere with every piece of bad news in climate science predictions and current real-life impacts.

Whilst it is all hugely confronting, we must fight on - every single step we take to reduce emissions, every fraction of a degree of temperature increase we can prevent and every single habitat and environment we can protect is worth fighting for.

There I go again with hope and optimism and my ongoing call for action. The alternative though of giving in and letting it happen is far too painful to submit to and would mean that the #fossilfuel industry's campaign will have been successful.
